On the invitation write Soccer! You have been
drafted to
"Billys" World Cup Birthday Party. Include date, time
and place. Drawl or use rubber stamps to put a couple
of soccer balls on the invitation.
Decorations
For this outdoor party you won't need many
decorations. Mark the spot with a
couple bundles of balloons.
Buy Soccer ball
balloons or use white balloons and use
black markers to make them look like soccer balls.
Use plastic trash cans to make goals. Set them equal
distances apart. If your yard isn't big enough
try a park. Buy tee shirts, all one color
for team A and all a different color for team B. Let them keep the shirts as favors.
Preperations
Buy a sports water bottle for each guest and
write each guest name on it. Fill them with
sports drink for use during the game. They
can take them home as favors.
Buy tee shirts, one color for each team or
just one color for one team. Everyone
without the colored tee
is on the other team.
Buy or borrow at least 2 soccer balls, and some
cones to mark the corner and sides of
the playing area.
The main activity of course, Soccer, Soccer, Soccer.
Be sure to have them do some streching excersises, and
jog a couple of laps before running full speed.
Make up teams and put on tee shirts. The goal?
GOALS! Make the goal wide enough so plenty
of goals are scored.
After they have been playing for about 20 minutes,
throw a second ball on to the field. It really
is funny seeing the reactions of the players.
After about 40 minutes of play, take a break
and serve the food. Pizza Delivery, Hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill, will work fine here.
And of course a soccer ball or soccer field cake. and ice cream
Then a little more soccer
