Move Over Rover, The Little Chefs are Taking Over!

Chefs Party

Lots of children absolutely love to cook. My grandson wants to bake biscuits or cake every time he comes over now. Thats him licking the bowl.

As the young chefs arrive, give them each a paper chefs hat. Then "show and tell" them what will be used to make the goodies. Mixing bowls, measuring cups, wooden mixing spoons, baking pans, ect.

Always be sure to carefully supervise these little chefs, and keep knives and such well out of reach.

Let them bake pizza, buy the ingredients and crust and let them put the sauce and cheese on. Pop em in the oven. Chocolate chip cookies are a favorite also. Let the children mix the dough and spoon it onto the cookie sheets. Have cookies and ice cream instead of cake and ice cream.

Another fun treat is to let the children make their own play dough. Place 4 cups of all purpose flour, 1 cup of salt, 1 1/2 cups of water in a large bowl. Stir together well. Put mixture onto a lightly floured board and knead for at least 5 minutes. If dough is sticky add more flour and mix. If you want to add color to it, put food coloring in the 1 1/2 cups of water before mixing.
